This application aims to assist individuals in reducing misophonia symptoms by enhancing their muscle relaxation skills when encountering triggers. Misophonia refers to a condition where specific stimuli evoke an intense response, combining emotional and physical reflexes. The app provides a platform to develop the neurological and physical technique of relaxing muscles at will. By achieving muscle relaxation, the impact of misophonia triggers lessens and eventually fades away, emphasizing the importance of regular practice.

The app includes Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) sessions, referred to as Muscle Relaxation Training. This training method forms new neurological pathways allowing targeted muscle relaxation. Unlike other relaxation techniques such as yoga or mindfulness meditation, PMR focuses on developing neuron fibers for precise muscle relaxation upon command.

Research and treatment conducted on numerous misophonia cases have outlined the progression triggered by misophonia stimuli: Trigger -> Muscle Flinch Reflex -> Emotional Reflex -> Physiological Distress. By preemptively relaxing muscles before and during triggers, the reflex response weakens and diminishes over time.

The app offers two sessions involving variations in targeted muscles, advising users to alternate between them. Customizable features include six music options for relaxation and six background noise choices. To expedite misophonia reduction, a recommended regimen entails three daily sessions over two weeks.
